Before you ask, no, there is no real point to Library Thing.com.

It's strangely addictive and fun, and a way to share your literary
prowess with readers of your blog, and lets you hook up with other
people who have the same books as you.
But beyond that, well, there's not much there. Yet somehow, that won't
keep you from spending significant amounts of time on it, carefully
updating your virtual library.
Here's how it works: After you create an account, you type in the name
of a book you own (or don't, if you want to CHEAT), or an author, or
some other keyword. The site will search Amazon.com and other resources
for the book and add it to your virtual library.
From there you can sort your books via various labels.
For right now, you can catalog up to 200 books for free. Paid accounts,
which allow you to catalog an unlimited number of books, cost $10 for a
year or $25 for a lifetime account.
The coolest feature is a widget for blogs that allows you to display
what you're reading now, random books from your collection, or whatever
else you'd like to share.
