A guest role on JAG is a lot better than hawking multi-blade
razors, but Colby still looks clean shaven.
30-year-old Texan and Survivor candidate Colby Donaldson has fashioned
an acting career, and has guest shots on both JAG and 8 Simple
Rules Friday night.
"All the parts I get are one step forward," he says by telephone. "The
more roles I get as a character, the more distance I create between
Colby the actor and Colby the guy from the reality show. I have never
put a time frame on it."
He's taking weekly acting lessons with "a coach I completely mesh with."
"Any craft needs practice. At this point, I'm not fortunate enough to be
working as an actor all the time. So you've got to keep your tools
sharp. I'm still a fledgling actor to a very large degree."
