Earlier this year, Tribeca Bar and Lounge turned heads with the announcement that it would start serving lunch and dinner. The club is known for its dance floor and themed DJ nights. Its apparent move to transform itself into a restaurant was a surprise.

Rosemary chicken quesadillas with spinach, sun-dried tomato and basil avocado salsa is offered at Tribeca.
Tribeca is still basically a club, but now it serves a very limited menu, mostly quesadillas and sandwiches. The good news: What it does serve is pretty tasty.
Three of the four appetizers on the menu are quesadilla variations. We enjoyed the steak version, with a fresh-tasting tortilla wrapped around generous chunks of good meat, roasted red pepper, cheese and mushrooms.
The best sandwich we tried was marinated chicken breast with roasted red pepper, grilled tomato, mushrooms and a light smear of basil pesto.
Also good: the Reuben with corned beef, sauerkraut and melted Gruyère cheese.
