Dallas-based design firm HKS Inc. said Wednesday that it has expanded its international presence by opening an office in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, to serve clients in the Middle East and North Africa. It is HKS’ 24th office worldwide.
HKS chief executive Ralph Hawkins said he expects the company to show steady growth in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and other Middle Eastern countries. The company has more than $1 billion in work under way in the Middle East and North Africa, including 15 projects under design, and already has completed projects at the Kuwait Embassy and Aramco housing and recreational facilities in Saudi Arabia.
