The National Weather Service in Fort Worth canceled an area-wide tornado watch at about 6:30 p.m., NWS meteorologist Bill Bunting said.

Power lines fell in Fort Worth, likely due to strong winds, Mr. Bunting said. A tree fell down in Collin County near Weston. Though radar detected strong cloud rotation in Collin County, no tornadoes had been confirmed.

Thursday’s weather is expected to be sunny with a high of 85 degrees.
