Dallas police are searching for four men who smashed through the glass facade of Nordstrom at NorthPark Center this morning and took an ATM.

The burglars were seen loading the small automated teller machine into an ’80s model Chevrolet Suburban around 3:45 a.m. When a witness approached, they fled down Park Lane, said Dallas police Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse.

The burned remains of the Suburban were found about two hours later in the 3200 block of Park Row Avenue with the ATM inside, police said.

Police were unsure how much money was in the machine, and it is unclear whether money was taken from the machine before it was burned, Senior Cpl. Janse said.

Nordstrom are assisting police in the investigation and have provided security camera footage, said company spokeswoman Brooke White. The ATM was the only thing taken from the store, she said.

NorthPark referred questions to Dallas police.

The burglary is the third high-profile crime at NorthPark Center within the past few months. Earlier this month, robbers targeted the Ben Bridge jewelry store, stealing about $274,000 worth of watches. In May, a 43-year-old driver was shot in the face as she waited to pick up her daughter from a movie. No arrests have been made in those cases, police said.
