Prosecutors said Mr. Hall sexually assaulted two girls he coached on an elite basketball team. One of the alleged victims told investigators she was 14 when she played basketball for Mr. Hall’s team. The woman, who is now 22, claimed she was raped in 1999 at Mr. Hall’s North Richland Hills apartment where she had gone to babysit his child. Mr. Hall, she said, escorted her to his bedroom and began removing her clothes, according to the arrest warrant. “Actor would praise her with compliments, how gorgeous she was, that he loved her and wanted her to be his girlfriend,” according to the arrest warrant. A week later, the woman told police Mr. Hall raped her in Grapevine after picking her up for an evening basketball practice. The girl told investigators Mr. Hall raped her in the back seat of his car near what is now the Gaylord Texan resort. The basketball team disbanded a week later and the woman said she had no other contact with Mr. Hall. Another woman said she was12 years old when she was raped by Mr. Hall at her home and at his apartment in North Richland Hills. The girl said Mr. Hall lived at her home for about six months after telling her parents he needed a place to stay while his home in Southlake was being built. The girl said Mr. Hall molested her in her room. “The actor would just come up to me and grab firmly my face and force me to kiss and make out with him,” the girl told investigators. ”Most of the time I would not kiss back because I had no idea how.” According to a biography posted on Baseball-Reference.com, Mr. Hall played professionally for the New York Yankees, the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago Cubs. He began coaching teens in North Texas in the late 1990s. Ex-ballplayer Mel Hall Jr. indicted on sex assault charges
