Game needs to get in 'Gear'
The Metal Gear series of shooting games is one of the last big action franchises to offer some kind of online mode, but Metal Gear Online (being developed in tandem with the single-player Metal Gear Solid 4 game) finally rectifies that oversight. It's hard to do anything perfectly on your first try, though, and Konami definitely has some bugs to fix.

Bring back the '90s with karaoke game
 I have new respect for Vanilla Ice. After bumbling my way through a painful rendition of
Sing 'Ice, Ice Baby' on SingStar '90s. Sorry, no bonus points for knowing the dance moves.

Hudson Entertainment may have the next Wii Sports on its hands. I recently tested a preview of Hudson's upcoming Deca Sports for the Wii, and the game could well be a smash hit. The game includes 10 sports challenges, and I was able to test four: badminton, beach volleyball, dirt-bike racing and figure skating.
